Deli Italiano first opened in Great Falls, Va, in 1990. Yasser Baslios was hired as a dishwasher at the original location, but quickly worked his way up to management. Before long, he was able to buy the whole restaurant.

For an Egyptian immigrant with very little money and, in his words, "zero english", chasing the American dream has been exciting but also incredibly humbling. Old regulars who still visit us today remember the plastic chairs in our tiny restaurant, which could seat just six guests at a time.

Though Deli Italiano has grown a lot in the last 35 years, we still hold dearly to the ideals we were built on: good old-fashioned customer service, great pizza with made-from-scratch dough and sauce topped with 100% real mozzarella cheese, and keeping our hearts and minds focused on helping others in any way we can.

We have come a long way from our humble beginnings. We now have four thriving locations and more on the way. But no matter who much we may grow, we will always continue to strive for perfection in our food and our service.

We seek to serve our community much more than pizza.
